Presents an overview of russian and foreign publications, devoted to contemporary methods of conservative and surgical treatment of acute inflammation of the epithelial pilonidal sinus. Details of surgical interventions, techniques, indications and contraindications. Special attention is paid to pre-operative preparation for surgery, wound closure after surgical access, patient management in the postoperative period.

Представлен обзор отечественных и зарубежных литературных источников, посвященный современным методам консервативного и хирургического лечения при остром воспалении эпителиального копчикового хода. Подробно описаны основные методики оперативного вмешательства, показания и противопоказания, техника их выполнения. Особое внимание уделено предоперационной подготовке, способам ушивания ран после оперативного доступа, особенностям ведения пациентов в послеоперационном периоде.
