Аннотация

Статья посвящена обзору и анализу широкого спектра практик коллекционирования - от навязчивого накопления вещей определенного вида до собирания произведений искусства отдельными людьми и музеями. Кроме того, есть люди хранящие вещи, связанные с их опытом и намерениями; этот вид собирания автор обозначает как идиоцентристское и исследует мотивы таких хранителей. Утверждая, что коллекционирование является одним из психических проявлений человека, данное исследование использует теоретический подход, охватывающий дискуссии (включая глубинные интервью и фокус-группы) об отношениях человека и вещи, памяти и самости. Для оценки полученных данных используются когнитивная перспектива и этносемантический анализ. Автор приходит к выводу, что идиоцентристское коллекционирование представляет собой способ соединения прошлого и будущего, дающий хранителям ощущение непрерывности и связности во времени и пространстве.
